- Consider the size of your space before selecting and buying furniture – draw a basic plan of the area and put dimensions on.
- Decide on how many desks / workstations you need and how the occupants will interact. Just like planning an efficient kitchen, you need to know how to best utilise the space and create maximum efficiency.
- Decide on a colour scheme and select quality matching materials.
- If you have regular clients visiting your office, the impression that your office leaves may be important so go for a more exclusive design and materials.
- Consider positions for services such as air-con, power and data cables etc.
- Determine how much filing and other storage space you need now and in the future.
- Do you need to include some space for a pantry?
- Do you need a meeting room? If so for how many?
- Do you need a reception area?
